ブルガリアをはじめとするバルカン地方の民謡を歌う 佐藤みゆき(ヴォーカル、カヴァル)とDOYASA! Recordsを主宰するシンガーソングライター 、あがさ(ヴォーカル、ガットギター、フレームドラム)によるユニット。ともに「初代桜川唯丸江州音頭通信講座モノガタリ宇宙の会」にて江州音頭を学ぶ。江州音頭を2声のハーモニーで歌う「ポリフォニー江州音頭」ほか、日本や諸外国の民謡をポリフォニーで歌っている。
2024年3月、1stアルバム「Sparrow’s Arrows Fly so High」をDOYASA! Recordsよりリリース。国内外のラジオ番組、メディアにて広く取り上げられ革新的な民謡へのアプローチとして高い評価を受ける。

Suzume no Tears – Profile
Suzume no Tears is a musical duo consisting of Miyuki Sato (vocals, kaval), who specializes in Balkan folk songs including those from Bulgaria, and Agasa (vocals, classical guitar, frame drum), a singer-songwriter and founder of DOYASA! Records. Both artists have studied Gōshū Ondo—a traditional Japanese folk song style—through the “Shodai Sakuragawa Tadamaru Gōshū Ondo Correspondence Course: Monogatari Uchū no Kai.” The duo performs Gōshū Ondo with rich two-part vocal harmonies, creating what they call “Polyphonic Gōshū Ondo,” while also exploring polyphonic renditions of folk songs from Japan and around the world.
In March 2024, they released their debut album “Sparrow’s Arrows Fly so High” via DOYASA! Records. The album received widespread acclaim in Japan and internationally, praised as an innovative approach to traditional folk music.
